We had such a great time with Dana! My husband and I did a sunrise hike for a photoshoot and she was so easy to talk to over the few hour hike/shoot. Dana made us feel very comfortable and was able to give us advice for posing that felt natural. She was able to give her professional guidance while still asking us what we wanted out of the shoot. She let us be ourselves but still guided us with some poses that made for some amazing pictures! We were delighted with the end product! A lovely person and great photographer!

Dana is easy to work with and makes the experience one to remember. The photos she has taken of me and my fiancé are ones I will cherish forever... She really knows what she is doing; she knows her angles and what lighting will look good. She takes her time both during the photoshoot and the editing process. With that being said, you do get the photos back in a timely manner. She is a professional, and you will not regret working with her as your photographer.

Dana was incredibly professional and made the entire experience super comfortable. I loved the way the pictures came out and couldn't be happier with how timely she was in her responses and getting us the pictures. I would recommend Dana to anyone who is seeking a friendly, skillful photographer with a keen eye who can capture all of the intimate moments on your big day!!

I offer engagement sessions as an add-on to your wedding photography package for $100. I highly recommend booking an engagement session, as it allows us to get to know each other in person and get you comfortable in front of the camera before the big day!
After your special day, I also offer professional-quality photographs and album designs to preserve your memories in print.
I love dogs (and all animals, really) so I’m happy to do whatever we can to include your furry (or scaly, if that’s your thing) buddy in our plans!
Yes! While I love to focus on weddings and elopements, I would also be thrilled to do an engagement session with you or even a session just for fun! I love capturing intimate, real moments with couples in places that are important to you.
Once you decide we’re the right fit (yay!), you’ll sign a contract (don’t worry, it’s all electronic) and pay a $1000 retainer fee. I’ll send you an invoice for the remainder of your payment when we get a little closer to your big day. Final payments for domestic weddings will be due 45 days prior to the wedding and final payments for international weddings will be due 60 days prior to the wedding.
Again, this varies depending on my travel schedule, how busy I am, etc., but I will always aim to have your wedding photos back to you within 8 weeks. Portrait sessions are generally a bit faster - I aim for no later than 4-6 weeks.
Nope, I don’t share with my couples. First of all, the files are huge and it wouldn’t be all that practical to share them with you. Secondly, the editing process is part of the magic I work to bring you the most amazing photos possible.
This varies, but rest assured you will get PLENTY of gorgeous images and I won’t hold anything back that I think you’d like to see. I don’t believe in withholding images or charging more if we end up taking a lot of extra special shots. You’ll receive a link to my online gallery platform where you’ll be able to download all of the high res images with full printing rights.
I will be as involved (or not) as you’d like me to be! I’m an experienced traveller and I love helping to guide couples as they make decisions on locations, vendors, accommodations, permits, etc. That said, I am not a wedding planner and so I won’t be able to book anything on your behalf. While I can provide guidance, the final choices will, of course, be 100% up to you.
Awesome! I am more than happy to provide you with suggestions and guidance! We’ll find you the perfect spot.
All of my normal travel fees are included in my prices so there won’t be any changes or surprises for you. The travel that is covered includes any location I can get to via a commercial airline and 2WD vehicle. If you’re looking to do something a bit more adventurous (helicopters, hot air balloons, snowmobiles, or other awesome things), there will need to be an extra fee included to cover those costs.
If the weather isn’t so awful that we can still make things work, I’ll almost always recommend we proceed. “Bad” weather can make for some of the most beautiful and unique photos. That said, if the weather will mean everyone is miserable (or might ruin my gear), we’ll do whatever we can to get indoors - having a backup plan is super important when dealing with the outdoors!
The only way this will happen is for a catastrophic event (family death, severe illness, etc.) and will be fully covered in our contract. If that happens, I’ll do my best to find a replacement photographer with a similar style to mine who I trust, but I will not be legally obligated to do so. If this happens, you’ll receive a full refund.
If there are minor, temporary blemishes you’re concerned about, I’m happy to take care of those things. I will not, however, photoshop your body to change your appearance. You are a freaking gorgeous human and I want to celebrate that!
Intimate weddings and elopements are my absolute favorite things to shoot. I think this setting is more relaxed and comfortable for most people. As an introvert, I enjoy making deep connections with fewer people. By including a smaller number of people in your day, I have found that allows you to do more of what YOU want. This means less catering to the needs (and whims) of people you aren’t that close to so you can focus on what really matters to you and your partner.
Still have questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out! You can schedule a call HERE or send me an email, if that’s more your style.
Honestly, it can totally depend on who you ask! For me, I generally think of an elopement as having only the couple and perhaps up to 5 of their closest people. An intimate wedding might have as many as 30-50 guests, while a traditional wedding tends to have more than 50 people and is often held in a space meant for a lot of people (like a golf course clubhouse, hotel ballroom or somewhere similar).
You can absolutely split time! I love getting an early start to capture a stunning first look at sunrise, followed by a cozy wedding day nap (in our respective accommodations), with a peaceful ceremony in the evening! That’s just one example, of course, but I’m totally flexible with making your day whatever you want it to be.
